Do it.

Match is in Italy. No Landon Donovan. He has PMS so Herr Klinsmann told him to take some Midol. Dempsey is playing and also Michael Bradley who has been doing well in Serie A. Italy have not asked Balotelli in for this friendly as their manager thinks he has some issues with getting too many cards. Looking at Italy's squad I see many old Latin men. I think the USA could get a result here.

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I’d worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife,
I’d thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they cant take that away!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I wont forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’ll gladly stand up!
Next to you
And defend her still today
Cause there aint no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA!

For those on here that actually would like to know what happened:

There were chants of "USA" in Genoa, Italy, as the U.S. beat Italy for the first time ever in Wednesday's friendly. Clint Dempsey continued the season of his career by scoring the match's only goal in the 55th minute with a great setup from Jozy Altidore. The U.S. then withstood a barrage of shots from the Italians to hold on for the biggest win in their first 10 matches under new manager Juergen Klinsmann. And they were able to do it even with Landon Donovan unable to play due to illness.

When the U.S. last faced Italy, they lost convincingly by a score of 3-1 in the 2009 Confederations Cup in South Africa before going on to shock the world by beating top ranked Spain. In the group stage of the 2006 World Cup, which Italy went on to win, the U.S. took a 1-1 draw against the Azzurri thanks to an Cristian Zaccardo own goal.

Dempsey's goal made him just the fourth American to ever score against Italy and the first to do it from the run of play (i.e. not a penalty) in the last 20 years. It was also the first time the U.S. achieved an away win against a team that has won a World Cup. And since they did it while debuting their new dark blue away kit, they might have just found a new good luck charm.

Though it was only a friendly, Italy are coming off an undefeated Euro 2012 qualifying campaign where they scored 20 goals in 10 matches and allowed just two. To get a first victory over Italy and a rare win on European soil will surely be a confidence builder for the U.S. as they start looking towards their friendly against Brazil on May 30 and the World Cup qualifiers beyond that.

US was completely outplayed by Italy's 2nd string team, but were able to score one goal on a nice play.

It was a good win for the US, but hardly anything to be truly happy about.

Uh, BC, you haven't been keeping up with the Azzuri lately. This was their "A" team as it is presently constituted. You obviously did not hear the whistles and catcalls at the end of the match.

And, as an extra special bonus, this is the FIRST time the Azzuri have been beaten in Genoa.

Good result. And, I am not one of those who says "Donovan or Dempsey". I say we would be a better side with both on the pitch. Klinsmann is finally starting to get a feel for what he has and the players are starting to get a feel for how he wants the game played at this high a level.

That was hardly their "A" team. It was about 7/11 and none of the big names who are injured or having discipline issues.

Ah, I want see if they have the "cajones" to put Balotelli in the starting 11.

And, who was injured that would be in the starting 11?

Cassano and Rossi and DiNatale were out. But you also have to consider Donovan didn't play for us. And we're starting muppets like Altidore at striker and subbing in people like Klejstan. I think I'm still more impressed by the win over Spain in the Confederations Cup. Italy outplayed the USA today on the whole and the back line of defense was terrible in the first 20 minutes. They shored it up and stopped letting Pirlo pass wherever he wanted to up the pitch in the second half. Brek Shea wasted a few chances but I liked how Edu and Bradely played.
