That Poland GK double save on the PK might be the save of the tournament. Started leaning the wrong way came back saved the first one and then got his fingertips on the second one to push it over the goal. Ridiculous.

It was ridiculous.

easily, man of the match. was very good in his 20s, now, one of the best in the world sharpening his skills with the best GK coaches at juventus. he'll be even busier in his next match. poland will need him to get to the knock-outs.

Mbappé is fun to watch. He’s like soccer’s Justin Fields, just much smaller and therefore a lesser athlete.

j p dellacamera, have had to cringe for 30 years. God bless him for the longevity. mbappe 2 goals, griezmann still my favorite france player. denmark forces themselves into a must-win against australia. denmark manager does a fantastic job with them.

played argentina at -185, looking forward to their national anthem.

yeah, he's fortunate that mistake wasn't made at 0-0 in a knock-out match. brutal.

bankroll at $3.5k. wtf happened to argentina's anthem?? i'd hear that anthem and fans and got the urge to invade the falklands.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqUNl8NZy-M

some friendly odds if you believe in euro supremacy, belgium -105 and croatia +105 for the win. going to play $200 on belgium and $400 on croatia.

Post subject:  Re: World Cup

bankroll at $3.7k.

belgium disappointed once again. algeria ran their socks off and impressed in recent w.c. and now it looks as though it's morocco's turn. the canadians have talent as a few positions, and busters at others. need more tournament seasoning.

tomorrow, i'm playing serbia at relatively friendly odds of -135. $500 on serbia.

Post subject:  Re: World Cup

looks like the moroccan fans decided to not only defeat belgium in qatar, but, to also rub it in - in belgium itself.

disney/espn tells us:

Quote:
Morocco's victory was a major upset at the World Cup and was enthusiastically celebrated by fans with Moroccan immigrant roots in many Belgian and Dutch cities.

enthusiastically celebrated. ok. did angela merkel write that merkin??

Post subject:  Re: World Cup

serbia loses a 3-1 second half lead and the bankroll shrinks to $3k.

i'll wait until tomorrow to play, really like the usa and holland will be at astronomical odds if they lose. the morrocans in holland were so upset about holland's performance against ecuador, that they rioted.

Author:  NWsider4-3-3 [ Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:15 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: World Cup

starting off with ecuador at +145. was confident in their first match - should have been 3-0 at the half. poor in 2nd half, figured they were getting into bad habits that the dutch would make them pay for. not the case. better than the dutch. i like ecuador, impressive young talent on this side.

playing the dutch at -450. if qatar beat them, bigger than saudi beating argentina.

will also play the usa +100. feel they are much more fit and athletic than the mechanical iranians. i will say that constant world cup appearances and more iranians than ever playing in europe, has upped the iran NT's quality. they aren't as mechanical and non-reactive as they used to be.

going to play $300 ecuador, $500 holland and $500 usa.

Prefer US ties(0-0-3) to tamp down the soccer coverage to it's normal and rightful "who gives a shit" level.

Yeah that would allow the people that say they don’t give a shit about soccer to go back to actually not giving a shit about soccer instead of actively caring about soccer.

If the USMNT loses to Iran, Bama takes their spot in the next round.

and their way of actively caring is basically aggressively saying how boring it is and how nobody watches this shit.

You wrap something in the flag enough and people will love it.

At least we no longer get the "soccer is the future of American sports. 98% of kids 5-8 own Messi jerseys!".

you've got your shtick going in 2 threads. arrogant enough to believe the rest of the world will eventually give up on the sport and embrace the nfl because you don't care for the world's game. the rest of the world is dying for false starts and draw plays on 3rd & 18.

Tough business. Really the only way to make money is with how you do it. You can't nickel and dime your way to success. I used to do it. Win or lose though, it's bad for the soul for the mass majority of degenerates.

Post subject:  Re: World Cup

i don't argue that. my point is, i do play and i like discussion about sport. you should know, because you were basically the only person who interacted with me during 2021-22 college basketball season and both tournaments. i had a very good season and you know that. i can remember making big $$ on houston/memphis st./smu. i played some baseball and then decided not to post my plays because no one was interested in talking baseball investments.

world cup and euro at 2 year intervals (in normal times) and i don't follow euro football as i once did, i still follow it enough to feel confident investing in it.
