King Kenny flew to Boston to give his season review to John Henry and the rest of FSG. He's back in the UK now with no word yet of his future. Commence the sack watch. Aston Villa fired the David Caruso looking Alex McLeish. |

Anyhow, the family was ready to go to Arlington, and I had the game on and was sort of waiting for the usual five minute delay of children needing to find shoes, go pee, etc. and they scored the tying goal. I give a hearty verbal shout out and Mrs Newper asks what's going on -- I explain it to her and she is not that interested. So as the kids are finally walking out, the winning goal is scored and I went nuts saying that I can't believe what just happened, and this is so crazy, etc. She says "This is Mother's Day not Newper's Day... let's go!" So I shut it off and enjoyed Newper's day at Arlington Park.  No need for playoffs -- that was exciting stuff. |

Good riddance to Dalglish. Maybe I would give a shit if I grew up watching the team in the 1980s but the man was a clown and out of his element. |

Well tomorrow should be great with one of the most exciting cup finals of all time. That's right, the Edinburgh derby for the Scottish Cup between Hearts and Hibs. |

I know it's late in the game since kick-off is in almost four hours but Blackpool plays West Ham for the right to come back and play Premier League football. It's on Fox Soccer Channel. Saw on the FSC Facebook page that the winner of said match gets $160 million dollars. |
