Man United-Chelsea and Liverpool-Spurs this weekend. Liverpool could really use this win to keep hanging around the top of the table. Don't see it happening, though. Draw is the best I am hoping for. United should handle Chelsea at home.

I know what Wenger feels like after watching the first 2/3 of the Liverpool match today. Two sending offs and one of the most abysmal displays of football I've witnessed since becoming a fan. It was worse than the Hodgson matches last year.

Now maybe. Not when Wilshere and Vermaelen come back.

Liverpool-Man United tomorrow morning. ESPN2 6:45AM. Do it.

Hoping for a draw. Expecting a loss. Think LFC has won the last 3 at Anfield.

Same old, same old. Late equalizer. At least it was against ManYahoo instead of Stoke.

The overall level of play was pretty good.

Nice to see Stevie G back where he belongs.

I pay little attention.

Will Arsenal win tomorrow? CSFMB Survivor depends on it.

Were you not surprised by Fergie's choice of starting XI? I think if he would have gone with Rooney and Hernandez from the start they would have won the match. Lots of bullshit simulation going on all across Liverpool's squad now. Suarez, yeah him I get doing it. That's part of who he is and him I can excuse for some reason. But that Charlie Adam dive which led to the free kick goal was bare minimum contact from Ferdinand. I saw Downing do it as well. I will say Liverpool should have put in a couple more goals. De Gea made a great save on Henderson at the end and Suarez shot the ball straight at De Gea in the first half.

Crystal Palace has mysteriously continued their good start by winning their 3rd in a row today and sit in 3rd place with 23 points. Since I was just hoping they wouldn't be relegated this year that leaves them about 1/2 way to a safe point total with about 2/3 of the season to go. Maybe when I feel they're safe I'll kid myself about them making the play-offs.

Man City flexing their nuts. 6-1 at OT. Changing of the guard?

9 man Chelsea lose to the QPR.

Liverpool playing like hot garbage. Nothing new.

Tough day for Jonny Evans.

Worst loss ever for an Alex Ferguson coached team.

Found some interesting information from a website that I just discovered called About Man Utd that relates to United's 6-1 loss to City.

The website address is http://www.aboutmautd.com

Sunday's 6-1 loss marked the first time since 1930 that ManYoo conceded six goals in a league match at Old Trafford.

In 1930, it happened twice.

9/10 Huddersfield Town 6 ManYoo 0

9/13 Newcastle United 7 ManYoo 4.

ManYoo also lost to Chelsea 6-2 on 9/6 but that match was at Stamford Bridge.

Even more amazing is that the Red Devils finished at the bottom of the table with 22 points in League Division One and were relegated to League Division Two and stayed there until winning promotion in 1936. But went right back to League Division Two for the 1937-38 season and finished second to Aston Villa to move right back to the Top Division.

In those days, League Division One had 22 teams.

I am far from a ManYoo fan but About Man Utd is a very informative website and worth a look if you are a fan of English soccer/football.

changing of the guard, yes indeedy. Man U fans making all kinds of excuses yesterday at my place, but hey: even if Man U is fully healthy, you think they'd beat Man Citeh? They're loaded and despite their coach being a tool still, they will win the Premiership this season, no doubt. Can't believe it happened this fast, but Aguero was a genius pickup. Dzecko doesn't even start and gets two goals.

City outclassed them, but ManU has been pretty consistent over whole seasons. City could beat ManU twice this year but could still fail to win the premiership if they don't take care of all the other teams.

As much as I want to say that Man City dominated the game and are clearly the new class of the league, I thougth yesterday's game was a bit deceiving. Man U dominated the first 15-20 minutes and then City scored a goal against the run of play. A few minutes later came the red card sending off and we all know what happened after that.

So, when both teams had a full squad ManU looked the better team even though they fell down a goal. And then came the onslaught, but how much stock can you put in a beating when the other team is down a man?

All in all, I wouldn't rush out to coronate City as champs just yet.

6 goals at Old Trafford is no small feat. I don't care if they were down to 10 men. It's a great start to the season for City. I think I would still temper my expectations a bit if I was a fan of theirs. Champions League mid-week matches can put a lot of wear and tear on a squad. They've done well by expanding their team and adding depth to prepare themselves for the grueling campaign of league football and European football.

Quite a wild weekend in the Prem. A Liverpool like result at Anfield, a Chelsea meltdown at Loftus Road, and the slaughter at The Stadium of Dreams.

I agree with Zizou that eventually come February, March, and April the wear and tear of the european season begins to take a toll. That is why I am glad there is no european football at Anfield. It gives me hope of a top 4 finish. Citeh is not used to playing all those games. But who knows, by then Tevez may be back in the good graces and it will give Mancini another body.

Arsenal at Chelsea 6:45AM ESPN2. Larry Holmes' Gunners have quietly put together a nice run since their disastrous start to the season. Chelsea needs the win more after that debacle against QPR last week so they can stay close to City and United. Liverpool got a win away at Stoke in the Carling Cup midweek. First loss of the year at home for Stoke. Suarez was sublime.

Citeh's too loaded to be messed up by FA Cup stuff. Way too deep this season, barring injury.

see, nice game but what does ESPN preface it with? A piece on Henry, showcasing the MLS...

Stop it!

unfortunately they have to since they carry the sport...FSC would meekly do this. but it was pretty funny how at halftime they had to discuss it, and you can tell how force it sounds coming from two brits.

Blown away by that result at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is reeling. They have a match against Liverpool coming up in a few weeks. Villas-Boas sack watch commencing.

Liverpool today...bad. Limp dick effort. Middle of the table team. Shocking considering the amount of money spent.
