hope to see the same drama today..i'm afraid we might get 2 snoozefests.

england x germany.

battle of 2 of my favorite anthems. kane and foden have been flops and germany's defensive holes have been exposed. something has to give today. oddsmakers have england at +140 and germany at +200. over/under at 2.5...over +100 and under -135. oddsmakers have this pegged as low-scoring.

despite the pressure, i'll take england today. will play $700 to win $980. the over is too tempting, will play $500 on the over to win $1,000.

sweden x ukraine.

i believe the ukraine has better individual footballers, sweden the better football team. regardless, not going to touch this match.

even if the matches were good there's no way yesterday could be topped. i'm pulling for england though. i'm an anglophile. i just don't see them winning though. something's off with them.

Yeah, the attack seems off...the Germans have looked bad and basically backed their way into the knockouts.

England's my team....going with the heritage at this point.

the pressure in england is always intense...the media can't wait to rip them apart. through the years - i believe they've had more bad luck than stinker preformances. i just think that germany has dipped enough to see england through today. their defense has been exposed as slow and neuer has aged 8 years in the past 2 years. hummels was slow 8 years ago and now he's 8 years older. rudiger broke out with roma, but had the ultra-fast manolas as cover.

if the 3 lions had 80,000 at wembley...but, i believe covid will only allow apprx. 20,000 in the seats. i still believe england has enough to break their german bogey.

What is the basketball version of that France choke job yesterday? Blowing an 8 point lead in the final minute? Worse than that?

yes, looks like the english and uefa decided to up the max after group play. group play for england in wembley saw 18k-20k. surprising because england has been almost fatalistic, in regards to covid.

0-0 boring half. england need to increase the tempo - not sure if they have the players out there to do that. if it's 0-0 by the 65th minute, i look for phillips and saka to leave, mount and foden to replace them respectively.

That was the plan all along. I remember them talking about that on ESPN last week.

And England is doing what England does...it's almost like they're playing while expecting a lesser German side to win.

That was fun.

Crowd was nuts and Germany blew a couple of easy chances.

England should have almost guaranteed a spot in the semis.

With England...nothing is guaranteed...

That was fun, though.

spain x switzerland going on now..didn't play.

q-fs much harder to bet than group play...matches usually stay under.

italy x belgium.

i'm going for the mini-upset in the world's "#1" team in belgium, to win in 90 minutes. belgium is +240 to win in 90', +120 to advance. italy is +135 to win in 90', -155 to advance. over/under at 2.5, over is +145.

belgium with some key injuries in de bruyne and e. hazard. heard de bruyne will likely play. not a fan of belgium's CBs, but then again, not the biggest fan of italy's attack. going to play $900 on belgium to win in 90'..payoff is $2160.

did roberto get the sack yet? another flop. a c#nt hair away from eating 3 goals against an italy. the bankroll took a hit, can't shy away today.

denmark x czech republic.

didn't think denmark was S-F material even with eriksen. the same with the czechs. the czechs seem to be a stronger 11, though needed holland to have 10 men to win their last match.

denmark is +110, while the czechs are +270. over/under is 2.5, over is +140, under is -190.

i have a feeling the czechs will defend with all 10 outfield players behind the ball, while denmark will always be pressing forward. just because denmark is involved, i'm playing $500 on the over to win $700.

england x ukraine.

the return of zinchenko was everything for the ukraine against sweden. better individual footballers than sweden, not better than england. england is relatively cheap at -250, the ukrainians are at +750. over/under at 2.5. over is +100, under is -135.

going to risk $1000 on england to win $400, also play $500 on the over. looking for england to break out and go over by themselves. if i hear a few 'rule brittanias', i know i'm in the money.

Going about as expected for England.

Semis and Final are back in London, right?

It only becomes guaranteed if it goes to a penalty shootout.

That said, just like the Ukraine, Denmark is the kind of team they'll lose to on one of these magical runs. And now that they just pulled a 4-0 there's no way in hell that my favourite british sexual manuever, the jack grealish, starts. Seriously how the fuck has southgate not started their best player yet?

with a healthy bankroll, looking to play spain +200 against the spinazzola-less italians (+155). to me, it's a killer blow to the italians who need him for his killer runs and his support for insigne. also looking for the under here. over/under is 2.5, over is +135, the under is -165.

going to play $800 on spain to win $1,600. the mistake that 34 y/o CB vertonghen made for the italians' first goal against belgium - a gift you usually see from poorer nations in group play. not going to happen against spain.

also going to risk $990 to win $600 on the under.

england x denmark

england a -$140 favorite/denmark is a +$450 dog (90 minute only) and the over/under is the famous 2.5.

only looked into this because i feel the issue will be settled in 90 mins. going to risk $980 on england to win $700. the 2 sides are due an 'under', i won't touch the 90 minute over/under...could easily be 3-1 england as a 2-0 england victory in 90 minutes.

we're going to hear 'my country 'tis of thee' 2 more times. God save the queen.

Here's hoping. Have the DVR set to watch the game when I get home from work. I know I'll know the outcome by then. Won't stop me...unless it's really bad.

I'd just hope the winner plays either Brazil or Argentina.

And gets punted.

Hard.

I suspect neither are positioned for the European Championship.
