I always tell myself each new season that I am going to pick a team and start to really follow it, but I never follow thru.

Up the Palace ?!? Just hope Balotelli entertains. Also hope one of the big EPL teams gets Rangered, someone way bigger than Portsmouth, who should have been liquidated 5x over by now.

I got into it over the last couple of years, though I'm still a novice. I started following it the year Newcastle United was promoted because my visit there when I was traveling in the UK.

Newcastle is a good pick to follow. Lots of exciting talent, especially up front with Ba and Cisse.

we gotta do a premiership Saturday at Quigley's.

champs: Manchester Citeh. Of course. Man U's D is way bad, they can't outscore it.

Having some close buds over tomorrow morning. Should be fun.

I have notified my neighborhood liquor dispenser to ensure an ample supply of Jameson and Powers as I feel I may be hitting the heavy stuff this season.

Better today from Liverpool but they could have won if not for the defensive errors. Skrtel was good last year but he's had a shitty start to the season.

So, Arsenal hasn't scored a goal yet.

Chelsea look the best after 2 matches. Hazard has adjusted well to the PL.

Man United need a little help in the back. Vidic tore his ACL last season and that can take over a year to fully heal and they are pairing him with Michael Carrick, a CM, in the back 2. And Rooney is out for a bit. But they do have a dearth of forwards.

Man Citeh looked awful bad against pool. Is that the proper way to use dearth, zizou?

They're my team. They never get off to a good start. Beating Man U to kick off the season was great. Fairly strong showing vs. Aston Villa - first time they've won there in 7 years. After West Brom this weekend they have a fairly easy schedule for a bit. They could really put themselves in pretty good position. Fellaini is playing tremendous right now and Jelavic has just barely missed a handful of goal attempts. I think Naismith has played quality time so far too. I made a bet with a friend they'd finish top 4 to start the year. Very lofty bet, but what the hell. I believe in the Blues!

A solid start for Palace finds them dead last in the Colaship on goal differential.

I like Chelsea's start so far. I am tempering my enthusiam since they did play Wigan, Reading and Newcastle. I like what I am seeing from Eden Hazard so far. Hope he can keep it up.

I am also curious to see how RDM uses Oscar and Victor Moses in the squad. I have a feeling that they will be useful players when the fixture congestion starts to hit since Chelsea is playing in the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup in Japan.

Also wondering what the team is going to do with Florent Malouda and Yossi Benayoun. Semms to me they are both the dreaded "surplus to requirements" and should be going out the door. Haven't heard if any team is interested in Malouda and Olympiacos is supposedly interested in Benayoun.

A Gunners goal would be nice.

You said it. I often wonder what the hell they are trying to do at Arsenal. Just running the club on a pure business model? It's been a long time since that Invincibles team. I used to kind of dislike Wenger and his ivory tower but felt he did a great job last season turning the club around after the sellings Cesc and Nasri and the disastrous start to the season they had. I know they pride themselves on staying out of the red and not spending huge amounts but the fandom must be frustrated.

2nd leg of the Spanish Super Cup was today. Real won on away goals. Nice little free kick goal by Messi.

Fulham looked like shit this morning. West Ham was all over them from the get go. I love the early game. Great way to start a Saturday. Getting ready now for a big West Brom - Everton tilt. Lets go BLUES!

Everton starting off well is unusual. They look to be okay without Cahill. Might be the best team on Merseyside again this season.

Spaulding breaking into a soccer thread! Ha! I am definitely still a colts fan, still have my season tickets. I had my closure with Peyton at the broncos-bears game, had to see it in person. I will root for Peyton all year as they don't play the Colts.

both Man Citeh and Man U have not looked too convincing. Man U, I think it's about talent in the back line. Man Citeh? It's complacency.

Wow, a Spaulding remark in the soccer section!

Upon closer review, it's about football.
