Solid 0.5 Nielson rating. Pretty good considering I don't think anybody knew who was playing, when it was on, or what channel it was on either. Went up against the SEC title game so I doubt anybody in KC was watching. Was a decent enough game though.

Whether it's implicit or explicit, the fact that MLS is the one North American league that isn't its sport's highest will always hold it back. It has more in common with AAA baseball or AHL hockey: something you can definitely attend, watch, and enjoy, but hardly a civic institution, nothing that can "matter" insofar as sports ever do.

Having played college soccer, I'd rather not watch it again. MLS is okay, somewhere around English division 1 or the SPL with nicer stadiums.
