What was the point of doing this right now? We should see how the team does at the World Cup first. |

The important part of that is that it also names him technical director of US soccer, which I think is a more important position. If for some reason the US doesn't qualify out of their WC group because of Klinsman, and not because they're overmatched, he can just step down as coach and do the other job. |
