Not much has changed for the US team. Hope Solo is the keeper. A lesbian is scoring the goals. A network is trying to tell us this is an important event that many people care about. I will give FOX credit for finding all the semi-attractive female ex-soccer players and hiring them as analysts.

Nice how ESPN broke the Solo story just in time for the WWC. Not that anyone didn't know she's a trailer trash bully. Poor women playing on turf.

When ESPN had the World Cup and was spooning with FIFA you'd never hear a peep about any of this shit. Now, we have investigative journalists going on moral crusades. Jeremy Schaap has been let out of his cage. Bob Ley is using his extra extra serious voice.

USA v JAPAN

If Brooks Boyer was marketing this it would be "WWII REMATCH"

if the USA wins, gets ready for the "WOMENS SOCCER IS GOING TO BE BIG AGAIN"

Last time this happened they started a league which folded in 2 years.

And they would be giving away 750 Mia Hamm caps.

Mia would need to sign a release. Wouldnt happen.

Guessing they would find some "Girl Power" Not for profit group that needs money.

what level is this Womens FIFA?

I compare WNBA talent to very good High school teams. Which of course pisses off my WNBA people (Not many people have WNBA people)....yet, they dont have a real comeback to it. They agree college teams would beat them....OK...so maybe they arfe a Div III team? So it Womens FIFA = Mens Club teams?

I think he works hard, he has bad ideas and in the end, the overall lack of attendance isnt his fault....but the year to year decline rests in his lap....6 years of a declning season ticket base.

Did people go in 2005/2006? They've been pretty bad the last few years too.

Did Cubs attendance fall off the last few years or no?

Sox lopped 10k seats off the top of their stadium.
It still looks empty, even after the stadium trim.
And after the WS win.

The Sox are not a "small market team", they simply do not have many fans.

It's always been like that though. I remember getting tickets for perfect attendance and honor rolls. Nobody I knew was a sox fan. I feel like I know more sox fans now but they don't go. I don't know if it's the whole experience thing that Wrigley still sells or what. The kid zone thing is great, the product right now is bad. It's odd.

Right.

Nope.

I'd love to hear how you think a "good" HS boys team, not a state champ or an AAU all-star team, just a "good" team....keep in mind the size and experience...would beat any WNBA team.

Thats a bad thought.

How about any of the 57 state boys BB campions? I think even the 57 losers beat any WNBA team.

Who? Spanky?

It's not abuse. Spanky just has trouble controlling his head. It's like our 110lb dog. It just runs into things without malice. The court understands.

I'm gonna still say no.

But are you saying the best of the all-time state champs might be able to beat the worst of the WNBA teams ever?

That's different than what conns is saying. But still no.
