It always amuses me that most HBO series just randomly throw nudity in every 20 minutes or so. It's like watching an 80s movie.

to be fair, there's a lot of nudity and fucking going in the book. so it's not like hbo is making it up for the sake of doing it.

Good stuff on the Kingsroad episode. They are really moving the story at a rapid clip. Getting some decent character development.

**********Spoiler ALERT ********** John Snow is heading to the Wall, Arya is already in trouble, Sansa's Direwolf "Lady" has met Eddard's knife, and Danerys is gettin' some for her Horse Lord. You get to meet the Hound, but I don't know people know he is the same dude in the funky armor from the first episode. You also never get to meet the Hound's Bro (aka the Mountain that Rides) who was responsible for burning The Hound's face as a boy. I like the choice for John Snow's casting... and there are some good scenes between he and Catelyn... she no likey the bastard.

Pretty good last night.

So, about how far into the first book is the story at this point?

i do like the casting..the kid with the pointy nose/chin (kings son) plays a good punk..makes you want to reach through the screen and choke his ass and his mother. i knew that kid that fell 30 feet was not going to die. hope he can talk , and the queen is not around after episode 3. i like the midget good actor. would have had a finer bitch play the horse lord wife, squatty body small tits eh

I liked it last night. The wolves and the midget are the best parts of the show. I assume the white wolf is headed to the wall to find his bastard owner now that he can't hang out with the children anymore. No spoilers please, don't want to know how right or wrong I am. But, it seems obvious that the white wolf runt of the litter becomes a big part of the story...at least I hope so.

At the risk of being even more nerdy... every major city/region has a surname that they give bastards. In the North, it is Snow. So instead of calling the kid John Stark... he is John Snow. And every other bastard in the region is also named Snow.

Just watched last night's episode. So far I am pretty pleased with how they have filmed it. I am still a little dissapointed in the casting. I thought Cersei and Catelyn should have been hotter and Tyrion uglier.
