You can stream the new record for free on Itunes for a couple days. Not sure of some of the track names

Opening Track is really good
2nd is Mind your Manners
3rd im not too crazy about, cool bassline though
4th is Sirens which I really like
5th is the title track, Lightning Bolt. I really liked when they played it at Wrigley
thats as far as I;ve gotten so far
There are a couple of songs I did not like at all towards the end of that album. 1 was ok, 1 (play the records, or something) was really good, and the album's closer, 'Future Days' is a very cool little love song.

If and when the Cardinals get rid of the Dodgers, I would be floored if FOX didn't somehow find a way to weave All The Way into their programming.

In order of favorites:

5. "Lightning Bolt" - Had a lot of similarity in build up to Given to Fly. Ton of energy and as Frank mentioned, was really good live.
11. "Yellow Moon" - I'm off and on with Eddie's folk side that came out from his solo stuff, but I thought this hit a lot more than missed. Great lyrics and music.
3. "My Father's Son" - Awesome bass guitar, great lyrics and singing.
1. "Getaway" - Good song.
2. "Mind Your Manners" - Strong guitar and drums. Grew on me.
4. "Sirens" - I think I like this song more because of the interview with Steve Gleason. Good ballad, but lyrics were not that strong.
9. "Let The Records Play" - Its almost got a bit of a country feel to it. Liked it the first time, but now its just not something I would go back to.
8. "Swallowed Whole" - The Into the Wild sound again. Not bad.
10. "Sleeping By Myself" - Repeat from the solo. Still like the lyrics, but was unnecessary.
12. "Future Days" - Typical end of the album song. Nothing new.
6. "Infallible" - Blah.
7. "Pendulum" - Blah.

Cornell and Avett Brothers covering Footsteps last night on Fallon was uh... bad. The banjo felt awkward and I thought Cornell would raise it a few octaves to match his voice. Just sounds boring when he matches the vocals.

Can you type out yourself humming it? That would help.

Can't complain about the setlist Wrigley/Chicago got back in July, but some of the content being presented on the current album tour is prime.

http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/pearl-jam ... 77b16.html

the setlist wrote:
10/21 Philadelphia
Pendulum
Long Road
Low Light
Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
Why Go
Lightning Bolt
Mind Your Manners
Brain of J.
Animal
Pilate
Even Flow
Infallible
I Got Id
Wishlist
Sirens
Lukin
Not for You
Let the Records Play
Spin the Black Circle
Rearviewmirror
------------------
Man of the Hour
Off He Goes
Yellow Moon
Mother
Given to Fly
Unthought Known
1/2 Full
Leash
I Believe in Miracles
Porch
------------------
Crazy Mary
Alive
Sonic Reducer
Indifference
Note: "Deep", "Just Breathe" and "Last Kiss" were all on the written setlist but were not played; "Come Back", "Mother", "Sad", "Pilate", "Alone", "Sleeping By Myself", and "Leatherman" were reportedly played during soundcheck

I'm curious as to how they went about planning this tour. The album seems to have been well-recieved, but there are some big chunks of the country that aren't anywhere near any of the stops (meanwhile, one of the stops is Oklahoma City...).

That is quite a setlist. I was definitely disappointed to see they weren't coming through the midwest at all.

That set would actually be pretty meh for me. I would think you might see another leg of the tour announced later in the winter or after the holidays. I could see them doing a spring/summer tour in the midwest as well.

Awfully short tour. And the venues seems pretty small. With ACL being an exception.

I plan on doing Moline and Milwaukee. I'd love to do St. Louis, but I will be in Ireland.

Temping to see the Milwaukee show but I am just not a big fan of the arena rock show. I think the last
show I saw at the Bradley Center was Page and Plant about 20 years ago.

Also not a fan of indoor arena shows, but I'll be doing Moline and Milwaukee. Just from reading their message board here and there, PJ's indoor (arena) shows seem to rank highly amongst their fanbase. Meh. I've only seen them outdoors thus far.

12 of my 21 shows have been indoors. Arena shows can be phenomenal. Especially when you factor in some outdoor venues having shitty sound systems.

Phish and Pearl Jam probably have the biggest following in terms of people literally plan vacations of weeks (sometimes months) around their tours. I believe Chus has seen Phish upwards of 50 times, I've seen PJ 10 times, and there are a few people on their message board that have seen them well over 80- 100 times.

58 times. I know a guy who is somewhere in the neighborhood of 250. I know a few guys who saw the Grateful Dead 150 times, from the late 80's, until the end in 1995.
