Hypocrisy is cool and I'm good with that. That is what places like this are for to be honest.

I agree about consistency and others should practice that also. When guys they favor say bullshit jam them also. Doesn't have to be in every instance but there is too much hands off with it comes to certain guys. Many guys in fact.

I know, I know, more personal attacks, right?

Without being condescending I know you are smarter than that. Pointing out someone's hypocrisy is "cool". There needs to be more equity however. Probably isn't that big a deal but that to me is what's tiresome. There is a hands off approach taken in regards to numerous people that post here. When they say dumb shit (some of them very often) it is ignored too often. Their hypocrisy is never pointed out and they definitely aren't piled upon.

If you want to know what is "tiresome" that's it. I don't use message boards to get kicks. You probably need to be psychoanalyzing those that do. There is some sort of deficit if a person's sense of security or validation comes from this bullshit.

Name names :D

For instance when JBills states that Rondo is nothing more than a "mediocre role player in today''s NBA" it's a stupid ass statement. It sounds even dumber in lieu of recent Rondo play yet it went completely by the boards.

What do you fear from him. a burgeoning battle for GIF supremacy on a damn message board?

When people MANY in fact object to openly holding sports discussions on a "sports message board" that is strange to me.

It's also funny how people that have their own cause du jour i.e. Julie Dicaro, Cubs/Sox, Hillary, Quintana, Goff, Bernstein, Hoiberg etc will criticize others for feeling passionate about something.

This is what I reference when I speak to hypocrisy.

Maybe the name on the marquee should be "incestuous, bitter collegial atmosphere for the bored and agitated".

Don't think I ever called him "mediocre". Mediocre role player is Taj Gibson

Nothing bad about being a role player.

Draemond Green falls into the "glorified role player" category. There is a distinction

That team wouldn't be a title contender without him. He makes their entire system work on both ends of the floor. Your Draymond Green thoughts are terrible.

As is the case with most "role" players. He fits into their set up perfectly. He couldn't be the best player or 2nd best on your team. He had a cappy series against OKC and really didn't do much against Cleveland either yet they won one series and almost beat Cleveland.

I think you are trying to make him out to be a star and he isn't that. I'd take Paul Millsap over him in a heartbeat. (Trying to match him with a comparable player)

I know he showed up in Game 7 against Cleveland. Didn't do much til then though.

Once things go bad in G.S. he is going to be a cancerous cell on that team too. You can't have him around if you arent winning.

He was the best player on the court in game 7. He's often the best player on the court. Paul Millsap has no chance of being the best player on the court in a game LeBron is playing in. He's absolutely a star player.

You don't have to worry about being a losing team if he's on the team. That problem solves itself.

I have Blake Griffin to own him in the next round.

For one not start Portis over Mirotic

I agree Portis should have started over Mirotic but I don't think that would have changed the outcome. The Bulls offense was stifled without Rondo. Scoring was down about 16-17 points without him. They guarded the Bulls man to man and they didn't have anyone I(Butler included) that could beat their guy one on one. Every shot was contested.

In game 1 decided in the 4th quarter Butler had 17 points while Rondo played a buck 40 and didn't contribute anything

The Bulls were 2-0 with Rondo 0-4 without him. Scoring down dramatically. It is difficult to make the argument that he "didn't contribute anything".

Are you making the argument that Bobby Portis would have been more impactful than Rajon Rondo?

No I'm saying in game one in the 4th quarter he did nothing are you making an argument he did?

I didn't see much of the game and didn't check for the stat line. I'm sure he ran the team better than anyone else on it. He was a huge factor in gm 2. When it is all said and done they avg 108 points with him and about 92 without him. That is really all you need in terms of impact. The other guys on the team do not get the same looks without him. Its obvious.. Didn't reach a 100 in any of the games that he didn't play and look brutal during each of the 4 4th quarters.
