He is correct on point # 1 - grown men into Star Wars and comic books make me shake my head -

Advanced stats geeks will tell you Jeter wasn't that great. Kap's not alone in that opinion

As far as Jeter goes, if you look at true numbers, he was very average. His greatness comes from an intangible that stat geeks can't capture in OPS+ or BABIP.

Kap doesn't like Comic books?

I guess that explains this little incident with Holmes:

I could have sworn he said he was extremely average. Then he Jordan, and whichever Jewish producer is his started talking about their Top 4.

He also said Finfer was RE. DICULOUS. for complaining about Lackey's use of the word "pansy."

Finfer is just shy of Zawaski in his weeping vaginaness without at least having an excuse for it because he's single . Zawaski has to in order to get laid .

How could he be in the top four Yankees? Most teams have never had a player who could crack the top four Yankees.

Jeter is the one player who really does embody the Hawk TWTW.

If the investor team he's in buys the Marlins, they will crush the NL East from 2021 forward, because the Mets are run by a family worse than the McCaskeys, the Nationals will be nothing once Harper leaves, and the Braves are just in it for the suburban money.

As far as an actual player, he's a notch below Ripken at SS. Of post-expansion SS and counting only their time at SS, I'd go Ripken, Jeter, A-Rod, and then a big drop and then Smith over Larkin.

Yeah. And then I'd say Yogi and Jeter are next in some order.

I wouldn't put a pitcher in there, let alone a reliever. And I'm not even sure he's the best Yankee reliever.

Even if you just look at his stats Jeter is pretty damn great.

Jeter was a hell of a hitter, he was extremely over rated on defense. Average shortstop at best defensively. He's not even a top 10 Yank all time.

Of course he is. Who are the ten you think are better? I've given you four or five.

As far as his defense is concerned, yeah, he didn't cover ground like Ozzie Smith, but he was a huge influence in the middle of the field on MANY great teams. There's a reason they weren't going to move him for Rodriguez who may have had more ability, i.e. covered more ground, had a better arm, but who was sloppy regarding positioning and signs when he was in Seattle and Texas. That's something stats fiends who don't understand the way the game is actually played couldn't grasp as they made stupid "Pastadiving" Jeter jokes.

Jeter is overrated and over loved for sure. If Jeter made the two plays that Juan Uribe made to end the 2005 World Series, they would be talked about as being a couple of the greatest defensive plays in WS history.

Saying Jeter was average is dead wrong.
