Wonder what KLAW says about him?

So....is Yolmer gone or something? If they send Hanson down, he goes on waivers again...I'll take Yolmer. Sounds like Hansen is a pain in the ass.

they have 14 men in the bullpen. maybe they could send one of them down.

Mark Appel. Designated by the Phillies. There’s still a good pitcher in there somewhere.

That's what several teams said about Brian Bullington

Just imagine the Astros could have had Kris Bryant

OF Jake Cave. Would be a nice replacement if Delmonico misses an extended period of time.

Are any of the guys you listed in this thread even on a Major League roster? You are the absolute worst

The Sox really have too many prospect types for the limited number of OF positions in their minor league system. I liked Thompson enough but from his perspective there is not path to the MLB with the Sox.

They tried to trade for him during the off season but he didn’t pass the physical. I’m hoping now that they don’t have to give up anything to acquire him they will give him a chance.

 Yeah. The Sox should go after an outfielder who couldn't pass his physical, when they have Robert and Jimenez waiting in the wings. Real smart.

Sure I’d take him but he’d have to go to AAA.

Robert couldn't pass a physical today

Robert got hurt in camp and was not expected to play at the MLB level this year anyway.

If you can sign him for nothing and toss him in the minors, go ahead.

But it's not like it's a huge missed opportunity if they don't.

DFA'd by the Sox today.

A shining example of why nobody you posted in this thread is worth a damn. These guys are all DFA'd for a reason.

Eh Eddie Butler would've most assuredly been a better option in the bullpen than some of the guys the Sox have had.

I've come to appreciate Keyser more than I used to.

The Cubs turned Eddie Butler into Cole Hamels.

That's pretty fucking smart.

....depending on how Cole Hamels pitches for the Cub.

I haven't been paying close enough attention lately and I really do not watch prospects at all. So someone please help me out. What has happened on a baseball field since the trade that has made Moncada worse then everyone thought when we got him?

honestly i don't think it's that moan yoncada is necessarily bad, it's just that you basically traded the best guy on your team for a kid who hasn't proven shit at the MLB level yet. if you traded sale for my guy nomar mazara (.264/20/64 or thereabouts at the MLB level in his age 20 season last year) it'd be a different situation entirely cuz sox fans could, example, remember that mammoth HR he slugged out of comiskey when the rangers came to town last season.

so right now it's like you traded the #1 asset/commodity on your team for a known unknown. donald rumsfeld would be proud!

Very true and well put. It sickened me when they traded Sale and then Q on top of it. I think Moncada CAN be a very good player but if he doesn't develop, then Hahn has to be fired. You cannot make a major mistake like that as a GM.

From the get go, I think the design of the rebuild was based on fool's gold in that they did not get what I would call ready to go prospects in return. I know that I will get heat for saying this but so what. I think that the White Sox a few years ago had a chance to win their division if they spent some money. Instead they decimated their pitching staff needlessly and created holes at 3rd, C, and pretty much the entire outfield. Now they are supposedly talking about trading potential ace in Rodon? Amazingly stupid.

A long time ago, the KC team was basically the farm system for the Yankees. They get high draft picks, develop then and as soon as they were ready to shine, they traded them to the Yankees, Red Sox, or O's. KC didn't have any money to spend so they really didn't have much choice. Reiny has a shitload of money and he can be burned at the stake as far as I am concerned

Butler has a win and a save.

Meaningless stat counter:

Butler- 2

Hamels- 1
