Rafael Devers doesn't seem like he will be flirting with .200 the rest of the season.

They got Kopech and in the American League it has to be pitching first.

They did, however, get the Cubs best prospect for Quntana. Jimenez's first AB in AA tonight he lined a homer to right.

Not a good look for a Cubs fan here.

Sorry what happened?

I was watching the World Champion currently in first place Cubs Anthony Rizzo hit a grand slam at the major league level

So now what was it that this kid did at double A?

Reds, right? Jimenez is facing tougher pitching tonight.

You said it rpb.

Defending WS Champs and in 1st place, yet a Cub fan starts a thread to dig at a 22 year old White Sox prospect. I guess if a World Series doesnt get Cubs fans to not care about the Sox, nothing will.

Making fun of us for not getting Boston's top prospect when the Cubs gave up a better prospect for a worse pitcher is a bad look.

Glad you are enjoying this season though.

Jimenez is ridiculous just lined a double off the CF'ers glove ~400 feet away.

I think you have to give Conns Credit for originality

I mean I don't think anyone in the history of the board has ever done a trolling thread or taken shots at another team's prospects.

I mean if you can remember it maybe it was when I wasn't around

Why are you excited about it if you're a cub fan?

I have to assume that you are indeed a cub fan because I've been told that those are the only ones that get overly excited about Minor League prospects

Rizzo hit that off a guy with not one but two mlb no hitters. Doesn't that guarantee you a statue outside the park?

I am enjoying the season even though they do not have Andrew Miller.

Jimenez is so good that even the Sox can't fuck him up. The position player who was promised.

Yeah the Cubs bullpen is rock solid.

At least make me work a little here.

The Cubs bullpen actually has been solid even though they've tripped up a bit recently.

That's obvious in all the Cubs game threads.

Do you consider it tanking if a team is playing with its #1, #6, and #29 prospects on the team before September call ups?

Just asking as an academic discussion, not anything specific that I will use against you immediately after you answer.

So people overreacting in Cubs game threads is proof that the bullpen is bad?

They're 7th in the majors in bullpen ERA.

That is not the ongoing narravtive here. Both fanbases troll, that is a given. However MANY people have posted MANY times that Cubs fans do not care about the Sox. This thread proves this theory wrong....yet again.

It's not that no Cub fans care or hate on the Sox. Its just that it's 80/20 in favor of Sox hating Cubs.

How long were Cub fans supposed to stay silent as Sox fans labeled them stupid and gay (Nice "World's Largest Gay Bar" T-shirt, loser! )? At some point, people just return fire.

Depends what you are doing with the rest of the roster. It is tanking if you trade just about every able bodied major league player away.

Ya, it does suck they didn't get the best prospect. But when you're Hahn and just can blame Kenny then who cares.
