Big trade today. Bledsoe joins Giannis in Milwaukee, Monroe and a 1st rounder going the other way.

I guess Bledsoe plays 2 guard now? Brogdan-Bledsoe backcourt?

Surprised Suns got that much for him.

I need to wait until I can read a bunch of articles before I can pretend to have an opinion on this.

I think it would work, Brogdon isn't much of a scorer

Like this trade a lot for the Bucks.

Phoenix probably did about the best they could given the circumstances too and may now end up with 3 first round picks next year.

yea I think PHX did a lot better than expected given the lack of leverage they had.

I'll judge this trade once I see 4 pages of ltg talking about the summer league and Bledsoe.

I guess the question is, during Bledsoe's rookie season did he play in 3 or 4 Summer League games?

More details coming out about the trade. Monroe has an expiring $17 million dollar contract. The 1st round pick is protected to the point where its doubtful PHX will get it until 2020 when it is only top 7 protected.

I don't know that this trade helps Milwaukee that much. We'll see.

On paper it does. We'll see how it works out in reality. Never been a fan of Bledsoe and I have my doubts on him and Giannis playing together.

Milwaukee seems like they needed to shake things up a bit and find some more offense. Just biding their time until they can get Parker
back in the lineup. I read that they are likely keeping him on the shelf until just after the All-Star break to give him plenty of time to
heal up.

Yeah, I agree but I think almost anyone can play next to Brogdon. I'm more worried about him thinking he's somehow Giannis's equal.

I am to, I thought Bledsoe to Philly for Okafor was going down..Two malcontents that have talent that aren't playing.

I guess we'll see how they fit, but I would think there's plenty of room on that team to bring in a ball dominant offensive guard. As it is, they only have one legit scorer and playmaker. I've seen some of their games and it's all Giannis all day or bust. That can only work for so long. Definitely need someone to take some of the offensive pressure off him.

Bledsoe may not be perfect, but at the price of Greg Monroe's expiring contract and a 1st rounder in the 20's it's better than they could've ever hoped for.

Watched the 2nd half of the game last night. They had a couple guys step up a little bit offensively but they seem to be plagued
with the same thing that I saw late last year. When Giannis is on the bench everyone just looks around and hopes someone else
takes over. Middleton did some of that but overall not a good way to run an offense. They got off to a horrible start after halftime
and they just throw the ball away too damn much. 17 turnovers with almost half of those belonging to the Freak.

i think what gets me the most about him is his wingspan (shoutout to Jay Bilas)

there was one play where he reached up and grabbed an offensive rebound over 2 people and just laid it back in that was just incredible

Yeah, he is my favorite player in the league. I can't get over how athletic and smooth he is for his size. He really packed on some muscle this
offseason as well. I didn't see Maker do much out there, he seems like someone with a lot of untapped talent but is really raw.

I think the part that is being overlooked is Bledsoe's defense ability. If you go back to his Clipper days, he was a very good defender. Not sure if it is ability or effort that has caused his defensive numbers to decline, but if he can get back to something close to that it could be huge for Bucks. The Bucks have been a very poor defensive team so far this year.

Had a free ticket to the Bucks game against Detroit tonight fall right into my lap. Not the best seat, but I really was wanting to get
up to see one final game at the Bradley Center and of course check out Giannis in person. Going with some guys from my wife's
work so that should be interesting..... :bball:

Post game analysis: The Bradley Center is a decent place to see a game but you can tell it is totally antiquated in today's world.
Narrow concourses and just not a very inspired design. I was able to take in the construction of the new arena next door and it
just dwarfs the Bradley. It should turn out to be a great place to see an event and spend time before and/or after a game.
