Like Nas said, they have the 7th best record in the league. If they struggle to beat mediocre teams(they don’t), it means they are beating good teams with more regulatory than they should.

They really haven't played a lot of good teams. Real Wolves fans know this.

They are almost halfway through the season. It’s impossible not to play a lot of good teams over the course of half a season. Real nba fans know this.

Who are all of these good teams that they have played?

They still struggle to hold leads. That's a sign of a young team. Last year they lost the games they're winning this year. There are only 4 games in January I would pencil in as a L and OKC isn't one.

OKC is beginning to put it together. Won't be a 2 seed but may slip in that 3rd slot.

Their ceiling is also the 4th seed.

Washinton best them without Wall. S.A. beat them without Leonard.

Denver isn't good enough defensively to be considered good and Portland is talent deficient once you get past Lillard and McCullough.

So there’s like 6 good teams in the league then. Got it. I guess every team hasn’t faced many good teams this year.

Portland may not even make the playoffs and you believe they are a good team. Denver will be pulling up the rear without Milsap.

Next month they play Cleveland, Boston, OKC, G.S. S.A. among others. Those are elite teams. Might even be a Houston thrown in. Those are measuring stick games.

I think they are going to struggle

So you're saying that Minnesota isn't a top 5 team in the NBA? I don't think anyone here thought that. Losing to the top 5 teams in the league isn't an indictment on the team. This isn't a championship team. They're good enough to possibly make an appearance in the 2nd round. Outside of OKC you listed teams who are championship ready.

You may not have noticed but Watch Out World Thunder are starting to put something together.

FarveFan actually does believe that they are good so you might want to speak for yourself on that one.

The Thunder are in Minnesota's tier. Their ceiling is 4th in the West and a 2nd round exit too.

That’s a generous ceiling you’re giving them. They won 1 playoff game last year and aren’t on pace to be better this year.

Can’t win playoff games with a bad shooter taking 17 shots in a single 4th quarter.

They have a little more talent even though they're all similar players.

You have them winning 50 games. 50 games in the West would classify as pretty good..

I dont think they will win 50. Got them at about 43 or 44. An improvement for sure but nothing compared to what was predicted 2 years ago.

Nas is going to be using the "still learning how to win" tagline for the next 10 years.

They actually are on pace to be better than last year. They are starting to put it together. Unlike the fraudulent Wolves they have already demonstrated that they can beat the better teams. Popped Houston and Toronto in back to back games and have beaten G.S. too.

You also had Thibs as a top 2 coach and were wrong about that too.

I'm actually objective when it comes to them. I had them at 45 wins earlier but in watching them they havent been impressive. Thibs is catching a lot heat for running his starting unit into the ground and their defense stinks.

Please note the Timberwolves beat the Thunder in 2 of 3 matchups so far.

Im confused by this response. It doesn’t make sense given the posts quoted before it.

LTG, you think the Wolves are gonna go 21-26 or 22-25 the rest of the way?

So anyway, lot riding on the line for Bagels tonight. If Jones plays well he can take a victory lap. If he doesn’t, IMU passes him on the CFMB NBA Expert Heirarchy list.

Stop flailing around. You had them as an 8th seed and had OKC as a #2. There is NOTHING right about those predictions. When I called Thibs the 2nd best coach in the NBA he was. His record proved that even without Rose. I said that the Wolves would struggle and not make the playoffs last year. I understood that young teams had to learn how to win. Especially a team with a losing culture. I had them being a 6th seed this year and jumping in the top 4 next year. They may be ahead pace.

If you believe that the Thunder will be a top 3 team or advance beyond the 2nd round put your money or avatar where your mouth is.

Both of you need to stop. I'm the only objective one when it comes to the Wolves. Nas, IMU, and Bagels are all rooting for them, and LTG hates Thibs more than JORR hates Hillary. I have no dog in this fight.

I love Thibodeau but I don't there is any point during his career I would have ranked him ahead of Carlisle on a list of best coaches.

Yeah you had him 3rd. That was fine. LTG had him about 15th.

Having him 3rd isn't fine because he isn't 3rd. He is at best 10th.

  You're my guy. I hope you bring your ass to an event.

LTG, you think the Wolves are gonna go 21-26 or 22-25 the rest of the way?

yeah. I got them to go about 22-25 the rest of the way. That January schedule is murder and I have them to run out of gas in March.

I can root for a team and still be objective.

Very unlikely.

GTFO. You know me.

Anyway, I like Tyus in the starting lineup because he will distribute and play good defense. He is more my style of PG than Teague is...I just need to see less turnovers and better positioning. I will miss some of the first quarter but should be able to watch most. Gotta run out for 15-20 minutes.
