I am thinking of making the switch this weekend. Going to lop off about $60 off the cable bill and as far as I can see only lose Food Network. Internet is almost 900mbs. Have Infinity now.

Help Pittmike make the call.

I don't know anything about fios or the internet or $60 but I think you should do it because it's better and cheaper.

What kind of lousy tier service doesn't include Food Network? That's like a basic-package level channel.

No it is weird. They have some new way to custom pick different bundles. From like six besides the usual ones. They eliminate a lot of things you do not watch. The one I looked at that has sports including the NHL network excludes Food. The others at the cheaper rate do not include the hockey.

Agreed.

If you can’t watch Chopped don’t do it.

being able to easily watch live sports, and being able to DVR live events is really the only thing the makes cable worthwhile

if you can live without easy access to your regional sports network and EASY access to live sports... then cut the cable cord. Even the live sports is somewhat easier to deal with now because they make OTA antennas and OTA DVR's which while expensive are only a one time upfront cost.

 Those are the 2 things I watch the most. I've been really into Iron Chef or Beat Bobby Flay lately.

Cutthroat Kitchen > Chopped > Beat Bobby Flay > Iron Chef

Never heard of cutthroat kitchen. I love alton brown but don't think I'd like the sabotage part.

I don't like chopped.

Cutthroat Kitchen is awesome. Here's an iron, cook a steak with it. Good stuff.

What's the show with Geoffrey Zakarian where there's pro and amateur chefs, and the judges have to figure out which one is which? That show wasn't bad.

I like the concept of Cutthroat Kitchen. I want Alton Brown to jam his head in a deep fryer.

I find him annoying as hell. My ex liked that Good Eats show...that was just the worst.

I'd switch Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay.

Iron Chef has gotten terrible.

Is Cutthroat Kitchen still on?
