Lonzo having one of the greatest first halves in history with 3-3 shooting, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 8 points. Wow.

another great game for Lonzo, leading LA to their 3rd win a row.

18 pts on 7-11 shooting, 10 boards, 6 assists, 4 steals, 5 to

Looking better and better every game. confidence growing, shot improving.

He played well. He didn't have a great game.

Some of those third quarter turnovers were horrendous.

lol a couple sloppy turnovers hardly take away from a 20 year being the only Laker besides some guy named Kobe to put up 18/10r/6a/4s in the past 20 years.

The guy is having as positive an effect on his team as any rookie in the league right now. He's easily a top 5 rookie if the voting were today.

Simmons, Lonzo, Tatum, Mitchell and then take your pick between Lauri and Kuz.

That means nothing if you are aware of the type of guards the Lakers have had besides Kobe over the past 20 years.

I'm not an advanced stats guy, but read somewhere that Lonzo is second behind Bell in DRPM amongst rookies with a 1.97. Overall, ranks #38 in the entire league in that.

Sounds like the stats back up the eye test which has shown Zo to be an excellent defender.

I'm aware they had a guy here for the last 2 years who was drafted #2 overall and he never did it.

Regardless of who was there, 18/10/6/4 is still an amazing stat line for a rookie even with a few sloppy turnovers in a VICTORY.

It was obvious from day 1 he was a good defensive player. That’s why I was confused when guys like 312 and BC were laughing at the idea.

I don't how reliable DRPM is as a stat, but if it is then you can make a case for Lonzo being first team all NBA defensive team if they do those by position. He currently ranks #1 in that stat amongst all starting PG's.

What NBA PG is having a better defensive season than Lonzo?

Tyus Jones has only started 10 games, but Tyus Jones.

that leads to a great point. Lonzo actually ranks #10 overall in the entire league amongst players who play at least 30mpg.

I always said he'd be a stud, just didn't expect to happen this early or on the defensive end. Once that shot starts falling at a higher clip he's going to be an absolute monster in this league.

He is good defensively. He rebounds well and finds guys.

But league history is full of guys that couldn't shoot, didn't become adequate shooters, and hit clear ceilings because of it.

For every guy who didn't become an adequate shooter there are probably 500 guys who improved their shooting over the course of their careers. Shooting is the easiest skill to improve of any skill. Lonzo's shooting has already improved as the season has gone on and he is now shooting just like a typical rookie. Why do you believe he won't continue to improve his shot when the odds are he will?

Way too much emphasis being placed on Zo's shooting form. The kid is 20 years old, by all accounts a hard worker and great teammate. He also has amazing basketball IQ. What exactly is going to prevent him from becoming a decent shooter?

MRI for Lonzo's knee today :(

Calling it precautionary, hopefully it's nothing and he can play today.

And Lonzo makes fun of the fact that as a 7 foot center Cartwright averaged more rebounds than Lonzo a whopping 2 times in his 15 year career.

5 times

79-80 8.9 rebounds per game
80-81 7.5 RPG
82-83 7.2 RPG
83-84 8.4 RPG
86-87 7.7 RPG

As usual, you have no clue what the fuck you are talking about.

7 rebounds is 7 rebounds. Not counting decimal points.

Either way, even if you want to count the 3x he averaged .2-.5 more rebounds than Lonzo that's still pretty pathetic for a 7 foot center especially back in the day when centers stayed in the paint.

Also, who gives a fuck what you say? You're nothing but the biggest attention whore on this site so go fuck yourself.

Good call ! LMAO! 9 losses in a row!

Clippers have been one of the most injured teams in the nba, and are .5 out of the playoff race right now.

LMAO!

I said if Blake stays healthy. He hasn’t, nor has Beverley, Gallinari, Teodosic, Rivers, and now DeAndre Jordan.

I win.
