Sources: The New York Yankees are working on a deal to acquire starting pitcher Gerrit Cole from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sides are talking, and while a final package has not come together, there is confidence. "A matter of when rather than if," one source said.

They gotta move him, might get more at the deadline though if a starter goes down on one of the contenders. He's going to get 200 million on the next contract.

Pitts and Astros deal finalized for Gerrit Cole. Musgrove and Moran the main pieces going to the Pirates.

Verlander, Keuchel, and now Cole....stacked rotation

Houston’s window is large.

Cole isn’t that great. Potential is there, though.

I'm surprised the Pirates couldn't get Fisher.

It will be interesting to see what they get out of the Giants for Cutch.

Hellava day for the Brew Crew. They are going after the Cubs.

Quote:
Free-agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain has reached agreement on a five-year, $80 million deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, a source told ESPN on Thursday.

Cain has passed his physical, the source said, and the Brewers likely will formally introduce him on Friday.
