I really cannot explain the power outage by guys like Abreu who is experiencing a great season in terms of average and walks. You'd think he'd be pounding the ball this year given that info but it looks like he will have a career low in HR.

And he's going to have more doubles than ever which suggests he just isn't hitting it as far.

It's obvious they have drastically altered the balls for this season. I know everyone is playing with the same ball (although last season they did use superballs for high profile games), but for whatever reason, the deadening of the ball has affected the Sox more than it has most teams.

There was a lot to like in last night’s game. I’m starting to lose that feeling that if they’re down after 5, game’s over.

It's going to instill confidence for sure. There is going to be this "got 'em right where we want 'em" kind of attitude up and down the dugout when they are down a couple of runs late.

Too bad that couldn't score late against shitfuck KC.

Did he fall? He has done that weird slide to stop his momentum a few times.

Harrison has been fine for the last month or so. He missed the bag at 1st. He knew it, Boston knew it.

Yeah it was good to see Boston do something other than sneak calls to Kenny Williams.

That's what I initially thought. The replay showed his toes got it. It's possible that he didn't recognize that. Boston clearly didn't.

Yeah, he tripped coming around first.

If you say so. It's possible he tripped because his toe hit the front of the bag, I guess. I assumed he tripped because he thought, "Oh shit".

I don't know. I couldn't believe he wasn't standing on second. When they showed the replay on the scoreboard it looked like he tripped. He was definitely on the ground. Maybe he stopped his momentum because Boston yelled that he missed the bag.

Leury Garcia to the injured list. TLR will probably try to put him in the lineup anyway.

Is it a legit injury or a creative roster move type injury? Regardless....this completes some kind of injury to EVERYONE on the roster. Leury held out a long, long time!

You could tell from his swing that something was wrong. He wasn't trying to hide it.

Sox will lose the last 2 games. Hard to beat a great team 3 times in a row.

Luckily Detroit is leading again and could win 3 of 4 at CLE.

Valdez can’t find the plate, has walked two guys this inning and Harrison runs up there swinging first pitch.

Moncada's overall numbers are terrible, but with RISP, he has been great.

Hitting about .300 with 4 HR & 33 RBIs. Basically all his production. It really is no surprise he's gotten key-ass hits in each fuckin game.

And Harrisons numbers are terrible overall and probably worse with runners in scoring position. They have to figure out how to get his bat out of the line-up.

Grandal and Moncada refuse to believe Stanek is going to throw fastballs right over the plate. I get that it’s 99 but you’re not obligated to watch it go by.

He’s like a redneck Billy Hendriks.

Stanek hasn't thrown a splitter for a strike yet.

Moncada should have sitting dead red.

Grandal should just be sitting.

TLR’s Thursday day game line up is likely to be spectacular.
