Was that Scudder or Zurich Kemper or Zurich? We got sold about 5 times while I was there. Conseco and GE fell through and cost the executives a bunch of money.

And through it all, they wouldn't fire me so I could get my severance. Bought my wife's engagement ring with the settlement when they finally set me free.

The voice at the end of every commercial (Bob Rooohhhhhrrman) came from a young man, who happened to be in the sales department of a suburban cable company located in Mt. Prospect, who would be forever uncredited and more important, unpaid.

The Randall rd. Thing still gets me when I come home. Was almost nothing on the west side of road until when the hospital was built around 90 or whenever that was. Development on 25 south of Elgin too. The farming that goes on in the burbs is interesting (to me at least) in that the land owners pay the farmers to do it so it stays zoned agricultural to keep taxes down. I hate driving equipment on the more major roads around here, can’t imagine doing it 59 or Randall.

The area has changed. My mom talks about growing up in Oaklawn and having a dairy across the street where here Dad would grab milk from the owners. Would of been the 40’s or early 50’s.

It wasn't more than 100 years ago that they had small farms in St. Denis parish (83rd and Kedzie).

I've bought 2 odysseys from rohrman honda on golf rd. I appreciated that in both instances once i said i was writing a check they didn't continue to try and get me to finance. unlike a few of the others we shopped at.
