If I had a show and I was lucky enough to have such a well-respected and knowledgable expert as Steve Stone as a regular contributor, I would maybe let him get a word in. I would even do something as ridiculous as, oh, say, LET HIM SPEAK.

I would NOT waste minutes upon minutes of just the 15 or so I get with Cy Young winner with these long-wided, meandering questions. At one point, Murph had the absolute nerve to interrupt Stone. Just cut him off. If I were Stone I would have hung up. That was incredibly disrespectful.

It's obvious Murph feels inferior to Stone and must compensate by trying to sound intelligent with these long, long, long questions. It's clear to me the the opposite is happening.

You just know Stone dreads his Murph appearances.

When you are a POS like Murph, you are inferior to everyone. Murph, you suck.

(s)Murph interrupts everyone, callers, guests, even whoever is unlucky enough to be doing updates during his daily 2 hour debacle. What I found particularly irritating is that it's usually prefaced by him arrogantly stating "What *I* think you mean..." or "What *I* think you're really trying to say..."

Fortunately for those of you who still listen, he doesn't have time for too many guests anymore (It's obviously more important to play drops for Ethel Merman & Bing Crosby radio shows & old recordings of "If I had a Hammer" & "Rock Island Line" :-))

I had meetings outside the office yesterday so I was able to listen to him more than I have in a long time. I still don't get what you guys are saying. I like the show.

Maybe you're listening to tapes of the old Robert Murphy Morning Zoo from Q101 in the 80s? That's the only explanation because Murphapalooza blows dog.
