They're losing to a team that's missing the second best player in the NBA and doesn't have another all star on the roster. Very SOLID.

Very fucking SOLID

Hanging in there. Should be a tight one down the stretch.

Same problems as last year. Not a big deal yet but not what you want to see in the first game against a non-Kawhi Spurs team.

I didn't watch a second of it but they need to get off to a good start.

i really don't agree with starting Taj over Dieng

I don't really think Taj does anything better than Dieng

I didn't really like what I saw overall but realize it's only the first game and they need time to gel. I'm still very optimistic

Yep. Thibs as GM model is not proving to be all that successful.

Teague and Gibson signings were bad moves for a few reasons. They are drastically overpaid and they are bad fits as players.

He nows has 5 ball stoppers in his starting lineup. He could have Rose at a much cheaper price than Teague and Rose may turnout to be the better player.

Taj does nothing for you at this stage of the game either.

Last year he passed on Murray and drafted Dunn. I'm holding out hope for Dunn as a Bulls fan but at this point Murray has proved to be better.

The Butler trade may also come back and bite him in the ass too.

He essentially chucked the youth movement in order to guarantee a spot in the playoffs. They aren't a championship contender and won't be for the foreseeable future either.

Butler isn't 40
the core is Wiggins and Towns. they're young
I think Taj is more than fine in a backup role, but I hate to see him starting over Dieng.

If it is too early to declare Thibs a bad hire then it is too early to declare Dunn a bust. Thibs isn't exactly rookie friendly either.

He traded three guys 23 or younger.

Gibson is overpaid no matter what his role happens to be. He is checking 14 mil a year. You can get more bang for your buck than he will provide.

The TWolves went from a "team on the rise" to a team in "basketball hell" overnight. The moves that Thibs has made have hamstrung the franchise going forward. Teague is on the books for nearly 20 mil a year for 3 years. That is a bad contract also. Both Atlanta and Indiana were more than happy to see him walk the last 2 years. These moves were made in order to make the playoffs. Butler wasn't a terrible move but it may not be the fleecing that it first appeared to be. The Bulls may eventually end up winning that deal when it is all said and done.

Dunn will be a bust. Yeah, Tibs has leaned a bit too much getting Gibson (and he shouldn't be starting) but I actually saw Taj, in the post mind you, pass out of the double team two (2) times against the Jazz. So there's hope.

They lack a true true star. Wiggins and Towns are very good but they're not great (yet). If they were in the East, I'd say they'd challenge Cleveland. In the West, they'll get into the playoffs but I can't see much beyond that for the next few years.

And Teague is fine. I am the world's biggest irrational Rubio lover, but the kid just can't shoot consistently well.

I did.

I'm saying there is no shame in being a Rubio lover. It isn't irrational. Guy is a solid point guard that does solid point guard things.

2-2 after getting blown out at home last night. Home crowd booed them off the floor in the 4th. Really should be 1-3 and a case could be made that they should be 0-4. Early money but they may not be a 45 win team after all.

Butler didn't play

and they actually are 2-2. you don't get to make cases that their record should be different, long time hawk harrellson

Myles Turner didn't play for Indiana either. Butler hasn't really been that good thus far. They still shouldn't get blown out against Indiana. Indiana may not make the playoffs. 25 point loss at home. You can take the half court heave as indicative of something if you like but I'm not.

The Timberwolves will never be good until Towns and Wiggins begin to impose their will defensively. I think I read a stat which stated that Towns rates worst than Okafor defensively. He doesn't get hit much for it but he is terrible defensively. He puts up no resistance in the paint. He does glass but he gets pushed around and he rarely contests shots. Wiggins should be a better defender too.

In addition is the fact that this is a terribly constructed team. Five ball stoppers in the starting lineup. Thibs loves shoot first point guards. He just has to run that damn ball screen all the time and he needs a scorer so that guys will play him honest. As I type this they just got an offensive foul call on a damn ball screen with Teague.

Rubio would have been a better fit than Teague for this particular team.
