Maybe. It's pretty arbitrary though considering the other words that are uncensored, and once again, it's not only used as a gendered insult. If it's basically just one guy doing it then it seems like dealing with that one guy would be the more appropriate solution.

The whole politics section is pretty disturbing these days. I don't read much of The Hawk anymore. But I would say if he's causing a problem along those lines it would be easy for the mods to deal with on an individual level.

Obviously this isn't a big deal. It just slightly annoyed me last night in the BB thread.

I'm a hypocrite though because I find the attractive lady thing funny when it fucks up 312player. But I've always considered that word far more egregious.

i was running real hot last week when i used the blocked words. i wish they weren't blocked. i don't often use those words so when I do it's meant to for effect and impact.

Well, not to sound like Julie DiCaro, but I can completely see how this place could be seen as unwelcoming to women. And not just because of specific words either. I mean, Spaulding is the only woman we have left, but she's a tough fuckin' broad.

This was a sports media/radio board, & a sports board long before it was a pop culture & political board.. Not exactly things that rank high on most women's interest list. We have never had many women posting here. It's not that they aren't welcome, it's just that most of them don't give a shit about Dan Bernstein or Joe Maddon.

It's true that women- in general- don't communicate the same way men do. I'm a little slow sometimes so it took me a long time to learn that. Something that a guy would understand as affection just makes most women angry. I probably wouldn't waste my time insulting someone I didn't like.
