You also continue to be wrong. A fringe NBA player isn't starting more than half the time and getting 27 minutes a game in a season with injury issues. You also called him a Euroleague veteran when he has been on an NBA roster since the first game of his rookie year so it isn't surprising.

You may get your wish though. The Pelicans after the trade do seem to have a logjam at his position.

Maybe Moore will choose to not be in the NBA just like Carmelo!

You do understand how funny it is that you point out that Carmelo is making the hall of fame when the discussion for years has been about how bad it is to build your team around him and now not only did the Knicks never do anything, but two teams who are good decided they would rather not have him and the Rockets thought it was better if he was sitting at home rather than being on their roster.

E'Twaun Moore is a local guy who has made himself fabulously wealthy by being a very good basketball player. You have to be pretty insecure to trash his career, and act like he needs to survive by living off the glories of his college career. He's not Dee Brown hosting parties at Brother's a decade after the fact.

After their first year together, Heat would be using something like 80% of the salary cap on Butler and Westbrook; neither of whom is likely to be worth it in the later years of the deals.

OKC currently has Miami's 2021 and 2023 1st round picks. 2021 is unprotected, 2023 is lottery protected. Better get Miami to remove the lottery protection from that 2023 pick in the deal for Westbrook. Heat with Thibs'd-out Butler and aged-out Westbrook and their bloated contracts would be guaranteed to be a lottery team by then.

It doesn't matter. You believed that wasn't good enough to play in the league anymore. You felt "no one wanted him" and now you have egg on your face because you were proven wrong.

He is starting because a guy was injured. He is also starting because they need a 3rd scorer.

He was always good enough to be on an NBA roster. There was never question about that. The question was always whether he would accept a reduced bench/ role. He felt a guy of his stature shouldn't have do that. In the end he was proven correct.

He isn't the same player anymore but that doesn't mean that he can't still play.

Either someone wants him or they don't. Saying no one wants him then pivoting to "well they didn't originally sign him" after he is signed is bush league Brick. Even for you. He was signed and started immediately. He would not have started in front of the guy that is injured. (You don't even know who the guy is without the benefit of a google search but I digress) I admit that. Still is irrelevant as to whether he could have signed to play in the league again.


You huffed and puffed for months about him not being in the league and now you are changing it to mean something else. He isn't the same player but he can still be a productive player. We will see and there was some desperation involved here. Portland was 4-9 and needed a spark. There was noone on the market more capable of providing it than him. That is why they signed him.

I am not changing it to mean something else. No one wanted him until, as you've now pointed out, injuries and absolutely terrible play of the team forced them to want him in a desperation move during the season. I never said he would never play an NBA game again. You once again seem to be creating your own argument to argue against.

He wants to be a starter. Very few teams were probably willing to acquiesce to his demands. That is different than saying that no one wants him.

Portland or other teams probably did want him in the summer. There is no way to no until he was signed. You didn't hear about Portland until he signed. The Collins injury changed that.

IF you really believed that someone was going to pick him up then you would not have continued to reference the fact that he wasn't signed with anyone. It would not have been necessary if you truly believed in the reason provided as to why he wasn't signed.

I didn't know if a team was going to pick him up or not. That is what you don't seem to understand. He took nearly a full year off of basketball and given what Houston thought of him it clearly wasn't by choice.
