The White Sox got only 3 runs tonight, and had 14 hits in this win...Go figure! Both teams left a combined 21 men on base at the Trop this eve.

Wonder if Beckham will be up on the first day of June.

He might, J.G.G. Have you seen Brent Lillibridge's batting average in very limited at-bats? Going into tonight's game, #18 was hitting just .077 this season in limited action...As for Jayson Nix, don't hold your breath concerning his return to the bigs anytime soon. I read in the Sun-Times today that he's still in Arizona, and the quad injury he hurt in Spring Training isn't nearly healed.

Josh Fields drove home the winning run when he singled home Brian Anderson in the top 9th.

Unless he's going to play everyday, why bring him up, and it's my understanding that they have Beckham playing SS in the minors.

I watched every inning of that game last night and god was it painful. The entire game felt like we were losing and I had to keep checking the scoreboard to make sure we were still up 2-0. Maybe it's just that dreary dump of a stadium or that I didn't think we'd hold that slim lead. Great to get the W but man it wasn't fun to watch. Anyone been there? It was the saddest place I've ever been.

Hawkeye, Tropicana Field is a dump, pure & simple. They had an announced crowd last night of just 13,803, and that's TICKETS SOLD. For the defending American League Champions, that's just awful in my opinion. I remember last September, the Rays weren't exactly filling that ballpark during their playoff run, and the folks on ESPN Radio nationally were openly critical of Tampa's lack of fan support for their Rays. Additionally, I remember Eric Collins pinch hit for Steve Stone on The SCORE during one of the regular season visits the White Sox made down there, and he mentioned something during one of the radio broadcasts about a non-binding referendum regarding a new ballpark by voters. Any idea what happened to that plan?

I think this deal is stalled...due to location issues. There is a remote possibility that they could end up in Orlando.

Who the hell is that home plate ump, I think he might be the baseball equivalent of ed hochuli. Joe west he is not...

The starting pitching on this team is starting out really good. If Contrares can get his control back, and Colon can stay healthy, look out.
