Eddie Robinson Jr, hc at Alabama State got into a pissing match with Deion back in October when they played. He kept questioning Deion’s knowledge and understanding of all/anything SWAC. He basically was calling him a carpet bagging fraud.

Lot of big name guys that were highly recruited are hitting the transfer portal, Deion will get some top tier guys to Colorado.

I have always loved the bowl games. Their integrity is coming into serious question with players opting out, transfer portal players leaving and coach movement. They are becoming development games.

Look, I know the world changes, and one generation's tradition means nothing to the next generation. And I am all for player empowerment; most get treated poorly by universities.

But it's kind of sad to see players hopping all over the place. It makes me pine for some of Lou Henson's all-Illinois teams. Something has been taken away.

And yes, I also know that college sports has long been something of an illusion. It's funny how every time I bemoan the loss of tradition, everyone turns into a vulgar Marxist, telling me about how the base and superstructure were always there, and so on.

I'm happy with it. He did his job here and now he can go be happy at the place he really wants to be. There are things I loved about Brohm and things that made me quite concerned for the future. It was cool to make the title game though.

It seemed to me he got good talent based on a cause in a conference that couldn't compete. He won't have that advantage any more. I think he will crash and burn (depending on where Colorado ends up conference wise)

1. I only saw part of it. At least he seemed to be honest with the kids. Rude and blunt, but honest.

2. He must be a prep, not necessarily a game coach.

3. As soon as the Pac 12 gets gutted, he'll jump again, if only for his recruiting ability.

It’s definitely not about the games anymore. I just like having it on, while having holiday time off. It is sad that it has become so meaningless though.

And I miss having it all wrapped up before having to go back to the January work grind.
