Pretty much the only guys who I'd say HUSTLED last year were Burger and Elvis Andrus one of which was traded for a broken winged pitcher and the other on the last legs of a good major league career. :( :(

I agree. I am just surprised that they didn't trade him at the deadline to get something for him even if it was a small return.

i’m guessing there wasn’t much of a market for him at the trading deadline or now.

It was about 3 years. A biological woman destroyed the life of another man.

Cost herself money in the process.

Not real smart

TA not a good businessman. Only made team friendly less than $40M as a White Sox. 2 best years combined only $5.4M. I'd venture most of that dough is long gone.

I think he may have to move positions with a new team.

Hell the Tigers gave the Brewers a minor league pitcher to take Mark Canha at 1/11 off of the Brewers' hands.

The White Sox couldn't find someone to take Anderson at 1/14? He's going to be lucky if he gets 2/16 with a vesting opt-out for the second year.

He made $7.2M in 2021, $9.5M in 2022 & $12M in 2023.

I agree, but do you really trust Getz to draft and or evaluate talent?

Count me amongst those who are surprised they didn't pick up the option. Their talent acquisition model seems to be acquiring guys who have had down years and crossing their fingers and hoping for a rebound. Why not try it with him? Now that he's gone, who will drive Cubs fans crazy?

Because they didnt want a sulky, bad player with tons of both on and off the field drama around the team anymore for 14 million ?

His ability to trigger you people will always give him value. When his playing days are done, the front office should hire him to go to Wrigley Field and troll Cubs fans.

Your other comment made sense, too (about the Sox rolling the dice on a player seemingly on the downswing)

Gonna be another bad few years unless Reinsdorf goes the way of Bill Wirtz. Please, Jesus, call your countryman home.

Can't wait to hear sob stories from Anderson about the racist White Sox and 670 will be happy to carry his water. You know it's coming.

Also surprised. For whatever reason, he forgot how to hit. Somebody will be thrilled when he remembers next year. He won't be playing SS though.
